Dr. Chirag Shah is an assistant professor in the School of Communication & Information (SC&I) at Rutgers University. His research interests include studies of interactive information retrieval/seeking, especially in the context of online social networks and collaborations, contextual information mining, and applications of social media services for exploring critical socio-political issues. He is also interested in various theoretical and practical aspects of information as a dynamic construct, and online information propagation.
IRIS Design and Management
Chathra Hendahewa is a PhD candidate in the Department of Computer Science at Rutgers University, USA. She holds a Bachelors of Science in Information Technology with Honors from University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka and a Masters in Computer Science from Rutgers University, USA. She was an International Fulbright Science and Technology award recipient in year 2008 to pursue doctoral studies at Rutgers University. Her research interests are specifically in Time Series Analysis and Online User Search Behavior Analysis. She is an active member of the IRIS project, mainly in the capacity of design and management.
Other than research and technologies, she enjoys reading, cooking and photography.
IRIS Front-End UX/UI Design
Yan Li is a front-end web designer who graduated from Rutgers University in May 2013 with a BA in Information Technology and Informatics. She likes to design for the web and for the user. Other than design, she enjoys playing strategy/puzzle games, and watching anime.
IRIS Back-End Development
Kevin Albertson is currently an undergraduate student at Rutgers University majoring in Computer Science and Mathematics. He plans on pursuing research after his undergraduate studies. He is actively developing the back-end functionality of IRIS. Outside of programming, he enjoys reading and running.
